Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has warned if they lose Callum Wilson it will cost huge money to replace him.
It's been suggested the striker could be cashed in this summer.
Howe said: "You all know what I think of Callum, how I feel about his qualities and what he can offer to the team. If you lose a player of that quality, finding one of the same level will cost the club a lot of money.
"That's always the big talking point for the transfer market: if you lose a player, how can you replace him worthily if you have problems with Financial Fair Play?"
Wilson, Newcastle's top goalscorer for the last three seasons, has found himself in direct competition with Alexander Isak this term.
He added: "I know there is a lot of respect between the two players and I know Callum was happy with how Alex helped the team when he wasn't available."
