Brentford boss Frank makes clear Pinnock sale stand

Brentford boss Thomas Frank insists Ethan Pinnock isn't for sale.

The defender has been outstanding for the Bees this season.

Frank said, No, no, no. He's not for sale.

When I said I don't understand why they're not looking at him, it was just a compliment. I'm very impressed with Ethan. He just continues to perform at such a high level.

I think he had a good first season in the Premier League, then last season he took it a level up. Or he definitely added layers and has kept that high level of consistency in his performances.

Of course, I'm biased because I work with him everyday and look through his games with such detail, but the more I see of him and then other teams' centre-backs, I more I think he's definitely underrated .

Especially, as a defensive centre-back. He has the ability to defend in every aspect of a football match. He's incredible."

On the 30 year-old, he added: Look at Thiago. The biggest respect for him and his career, because he's one of his generations best centre- back, but I think there's more room for development for Ethan, no doubt about that. He's now 30, so can add a bit more in the next couple of years and then keep it at that level for a long time."
