Cleveland Browns Make Intriguing Signing After NFL Draft
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns have secured the services of veteran center Brian Allen, as announced by his agency, AMDG Sports.

The agreement entails a one-year contract between the two parties.

Allen’s NFL journey commenced in 2014 when he was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He has since been an integral part of the Rams for the past six years, boasting an impressive record of 50 appearances, including 32 starts.

Notably, Allen played a pivotal role during the 2021 season, starting in 16 out of 17 games and contributing significantly to the Rams’ Super Bowl triumph that year. However, his recent seasons have been marred by injuries, limiting his participation to 12 games with seven starts over the past two years.

This includes missing seven games in 2019 and the entire 2020 season due to various setbacks.

The Browns are optimistic that a change of scenery will invigorate Allen, enabling him to maintain his fitness and performance levels throughout the upcoming season.

Even if he doesn’t secure a starting position, Allen’s presence will bolster the team’s depth significantly.

Complementing Allen, the Cleveland Browns’ lineup features Ethan Pocic at center, supported by Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller at guard, with Jedrick Willis Jr. and Jack Conklin anchoring the tackle positions.
