After this game Coach Brian Keefe, Kyle Kuzma and Marvin Bagley III spoke to the media. Below are a few notable quotes from the postgame conference.

Coach Brian Keefe

"We started to have a little bit more defensive activity in our last game and I think that carried over to tonight"

"We talked about at the beginning [of him becoming the head coach] we gotta become a better defensive team and we have to trust each other more offensively and I think they have done that so far, we're not there yet. We have a long way to go"

Kyle Kuzma

"Especially this game, obviously I always come home and play well. I love playing here, you know to see my mom and stuff is here. I don't wanna play bad in front of my family because I know I'm gonna hear about it and I really don't like hearing about how bad I played so... I just tried to rise to the occasion. My teammates trusted me, Coach Keefe he trusted me as well and it turned our well"

Marvin Bagley III

On playing his former team "It was a little weird man. You know, I know all those guys, we've built a good relationship so to be on the opposite side of it, opposite bench, just everything, it was a little weird but it was fun. I wanted to come in and get the win and compete, help us win the game and we did that...I'm happy we came out with the W"
