Warriors Signing Cory Joseph to One-Year Contract
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Warriors are signing guard Cory Joseph to a one-year contract, agents Rich Paul and agent Brandon Cavanaugh told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Joseph will be receiving the veteran’s minimum from Golden State, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Joseph, 31, appeared in 62 games with the Pistons last season, averaging 6.9 points and 3.5 assists, shooting 43 percent from the field and 39 percent on 3-pointers.

He has also spent time with the Spurs, Pacers, Raptors and Kings. In two-and-half seasons with Detroit, he averaged averaging 8.1 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.3 rebounds (146 games).

Along with Joseph, the Warriors are acquiring veteran point guard Chris Paul in a trade with the Wizards and drafted Santa Clara shooting guard Brandin Podziemski with the No. 19 overall selection.
