Kings-Warriors Injury Report Revealed: Vezenkov, Moody Status
Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings are well-rested and fresh after a strong win over the Atlanta Hawks earlier in the week. They are looking to continue their win streak to two over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night in San Francisco.

Both teams have had their ups and downs this season, but the Kings are ahead in the rankings. The Warriors have gotten the better of the Kings so far this season though, going 2-1 against Sacramento. Each of the past two games has come down to late game-winning shots ending in 1-point games, most recently a crazy off-balance shot from Kings G Malik Monk.

Kings vs Warriors Injury Report 1/25

Sacramento Kings

F Sasha Vezenkov - OUT (ankle)

Golden State Warriors

G Chris Paul - OUT (hand)

G Moses Moody - OUT (calf)

G Gary Payton II - OUT (hamstring)

Kings' Sasha Vezenkov was questionable heading into Monday's game against the Hawks with an ankle injury but ended up playing but hurting his ankle during the game. The EuroLeague MVP is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with a moderate sprain.

Warriors' Chris Paul will remain sidelined for at least 2-4 more weeks after fracturing his hand. Paul underwent surgery a few weeks ago and will be important to the Warriors' bench rotation once he returns.

Moses Moody suffered a calf strain on January 10 against the New Orleans Pelicans and is expected to miss one more week. This might be a bigger hit for Golden State than the other guards out, as Moody shot a perfect 4-4 from the field last time out against the Kings. Oddly, Steve Kerr elected to bench Moody while he was hot in that game.

The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET at Chase Center.
