Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Identifies Suns as Threat to Nuggets
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

In a recent podcast appearance, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of the Denver Nuggets shared his perspective on the biggest threats to his team in the Western Conference.

Caldwell-Pope identified the Suns, followed by the Timberwolves and then the Thunder, as significant challenges for the Nuggets.

He elaborated, stating, “I would say a healthy Phoenix, a healthy Minnesota,” he said. “… And there’s a lot of young teams. OKC is on the rise, too, man.”

While the Suns certainly have disappointed this season, as they sit 6th in the Western Conference, when healthy, there is no question that they hold one of the best starting 5’s in the NBA.

The Suns recently showcased their strength by defeating the Denver Nuggets 117-107, even without Devin Booker, with Kevin Durant leading the charge with 35 points.

Throughout the season, the Suns and Nuggets have split their series, with their next matchup scheduled for March 27th.

Additionally, looming for Phoenix is the league’s third toughest remaining schedule. Teetering on the edge of playoff contention as a play-in team, the Suns face an uphill battle as they seek consistency.

Do you share Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s perspective on the Suns as one of the most formidable teams in the Western Conference?
