Tyrese Haliburton will no longer have to deal with Patrick Beverley, at least in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, after the Indiana Pacers discarded the Milwaukee Bucks in just six games in the first round. The series ended Thursday night with Haliburton’s Pacers destroying Milwaukee at home to the tune of a 120-98 score at home.
Shortly after the final buzzer of the game (or series) ended, Haliburton hopped on his phone and scored another win, at the expense of Beverley.
Haliburton trolled Beverley on X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter) by using an old quote from Damian Lillard which referenced the 1994 movie Above the Rim. Haliburton also included a previous interview video of Beverley in which the Bucks veteran seemingly downplayed the Indiana star’s on-court abilities.
“Con man. Flip from above the rim,” Haliburton posted.

Haliburton must be feeling good not just about Indiana sending the Bucks to an early vacation but also winning this round of his personal battle against Beverley.
Haliburton scored 17 points in the closeout game versus the Bucks and also added 10 assists and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Obbi Toppin and TJ McConnell combined for 41 bench points to power the Pacers in a huge series-clinching victory over the No. 3 seed Bucks.
Coming up next for the Pacers is a second-round matchup against the New York Knicks which will begin on Monday in the Big Apple.
