Celtics-Timberwolves Injury Report, Including the Latest on Robert Williams
USA TODAY Sports

After a 111-109 loss to the Houston Rockets, who are tied with the Detroit Pistons for the fewest wins in the NBA this season (16), the Boston Celtics look to bounce back Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The defending Eastern Conference champions are 1-1 to start their six-game road trip. At 47-22, they're three games behind the Milwaukee Bucks and one ahead of the third-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. Two of the Celtics' remaining 13 tilts are against the Bucks and Sixers on the road.

But Boston can't look ahead. The Celtics are 5-5 since the All-Star break and haven't looked sharp. Some of that is fatigue and boredom. It's common for top teams to experience a dip in play for those reasons in March.

But Boston has a lot to address, including tightening up defensively and on the glass. What is going to make the most significant difference on those fronts is getting Robert Williams back.

While the Timelord, along with Danilo Gallinari (left knee ACL repair) and Payton Pritchard (left heel pain), is inactive for Wednesday's game in Minnesota, Celtics' head coach Joe Mazzulla said during his pregame media availability, he's hopeful Williams is back "in the next week or so," adding Williams responded well to a workout yesterday.

Wednesday's matchup between the Celtics and Timberwolves tips off at 8 pm EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward.
