Finally, the Cleveland Guardians scored some runs in a spring training game! The team was shut out in their spring opener on Saturday afternoon, but the tides changed against the Seattle Mariners the next day.

Will Brennan stepped up to the plate in the top of the fourth inning and smoked the first pitch he saw way out of the park. This homer made it a 1-1 ballgame and sparked a big inning for the Guards.

Gabriel Arias was next up to the plate and perfectly placed a ball down the first base foul line as he jogged into second with a double. Austin Hedges was up right after him and made a 3-1 ballgame with a two-run homer for himself.

Yes, it's just a spring training game. However, some Guardians fans were frustrated with the team's performance on Saturday as they failed to have anybody make their way around the bases. At least these homers will give Cleveland fans something to smile about once the game wraps up.

Watching Brennan and Hedges be the ones to get the offense rolling is especially nice to see.

There will be outfield positions up for grabs and Silly Willy is going to have to play well if he wants to claim one of them as his. As for Hedges, he's in his second stint with Cleveland and was brought back to be a veteran presence in the dugout. Any sort of offensive production they get from him will be a plus.
