CC Sabathia says it 'feels good to have' support following rehab

CC Sabathia sent shockwaves through the baseball world last October when he announced that he would enter alcohol rehab. But the New York Yankees' starter is already looking to get back out on the mound — and is not short on thanks for those who have been supporting him.

In a recent article in the New York Daily News, Sabathia acknowledged that he has had a lot of backing since he started rehabilitation:

"Obviously, I’m in the early stages. I’m always going to be recovering,” Sabathia said Wednesday.
“But I have the support of my family and my organization, my team, my friends. So I feel pretty good about where I’m at and look forward to just getting back out on the field and being myself.”
Sabathia said the Yankees management has been particularly supportive.
“The Yankees have been fantastic, from Cashman to the Steinbrenners to Joe to my teammates,” Sabathia said.
“Everybody’s been 100% behind me. That feels good to have.”

Sabathia made the announcement that he was entering alcohol rehab just a day before the Yankees faced the Houston Astros in the AL Wild Card game. He reportedly just finished a one-month stay at Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut.
