MLB best strikeout bets: 3 strikeout props for Thursday 6/22

Can someone say hot streak? After a 1-2 mark on Monday, I was able to go 3-0 on Tuesday and 2-0 (with one rainout) on Wednesday to start the week 6-2 in strikeout props. Let's get it rolling with my three favorite K props for Thursday's MLB slate.

Alex Wood under 4.5 Ks (-110 DraftKings)

Alex Wood hasn't been a great swing-and-miss starter this year with just 8.7 strikeouts per nine innings. He's gone over this number only three times in nine starts this year, and he hasn't recorded more than five strikeouts in a single start. The San Diego Padres, meanwhile, have the fifth-fewest strikeouts (89) in MLB over the last two weeks.

Braxton Garrett over 5.5 Ks (-125 DK)

Braxton Garrett has been one of the more underappreciated starters in MLB this season. The 25-year-old has the lowest ERA (3.88) and the lowest WHIP (1.22) among Miami Marlins pitchers who have started at least nine games. He's also been on fire of late with at least six strikeouts in four straight starts, and now he gets to face a Pittsburgh Pirates lineup that ranks dead last in the league in batting average over the past week (.142).

Bryan Woo over 5.5 Ks (-120 DK)

In his first career MLB start earlier this month, Bryan Woo surrendered six earned runs and couldn't get out of the third inning. He's steadily improved since then with seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings and nine strikeouts in 5.2 innings in his last two starts. Woo has increased his pitch count and number of Ks in every start this month, so I'll ride the momentum here.
