A month after placing West Virginia in his top eight, Sam Haley is ready to announce his commitment decision. The WVU football staff will learn Haley’s choice this coming weekend.

On Thursday, Haley posted that he will inform the Mountaineers and the rest of his list which school he will commit to on Sunday, May 5 at 1:45 CT.

Haley (6-foot-3, 218 pounds), a 2025 linebacker who has been awarded three stars by several national recruiting outlets, also listed Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, North Carolina State, TCU, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

The Nashville native and Ensworth High School product received an offer from the Mountaineers in September. WVU was one of the first major conference schools to offer Haley. Conversely, fellow Big 12 member TCU made Haley’s list despite offering him much more recently in February.

Some of the other big FBS programs who have been pursuing Haley include Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Wake Forest among others.
