Watch: 2024 Wake Forest Spring Game

Team Black defeated Team White 21-13 in their annual spring game. Transfer quarterback Hank Bachmeier (Louisiana Tech/Boise St.) finished 24 of 40 passing for 310 yards with one score and an interception. Fellow QB Jeremy Hecklinksi passed for 204 yards with 3 scores on the afternoon. Wide receiver transfer Walker Merrill (Tennessee) had 7 catches for 99 yards, Jeremiah Melvin hauled in 6 receptions for 72 yards. Veteran Taylor Morin registered 38 yards on 5 receptions. The defense had multiple sacks during the contest including sacking Bachmeier four times and Hecklinksi once.
