A Maryland native is representing Alabama football at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
Chris Braswell, a former five-star linebacker in the 2020 class, has accepted an invitation to compete in the Senior Bowl as he’s declared for the upcoming NFL Draft. He waited his time at the University of Alabama and became an impactful edge rusher for the Crimson Tide in 2023. His teammate, Dallas Turner, drew a lot of attention, but Braswell made quarterbacks and running backs suffer throughout the season.
He collected 10.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, five quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, a pass breakup, a blocked field goal, and an interception returned for a touchdown.
The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder paced Alabama’s defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship and College Football Playoff appearance.
He increased his draft value with how he performed last season. Braswell has three SEC Championship rings and a CFP National Championship ring from 2020.
