High School Hoops Tonight
Tonight there will be a trio of high school games on national television. Here's the schedule:
5:00 -- Chicago (Ill.) Perspectives vs Chicago (Ill.) Whitney Young -- ESPNU
7:00 -- Gary (Ind.) Lew Wallace vs Chicago (Ill.) Simeon -- ESPN
9:00 -- Henderson (Nev.) Findlay vs Houston (Tex.) Yates -- ESPN
The three games will include a host of prospects ranked by Scout.com. Perspectives standout has the No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2011 class Anthony Davis. Davis will have his hands full against a loaded Whitney Young squad that brings high major prospects off the bench.
The Dolphins top prospects include Ohio State signee Sam Thompson, as well as 2013 big man Thomas Hamilton and 2014 prospect Jahlil Okafor. On paper this game should be a major blow out in Whitney Young's favor.
The second match up between Lew Wallace and Simeon should be much closer. Lew Wallace has top 20 prospect and Michigan State signee Branden Dawson. They'll face off against top five 2013 prospect Jabari Parker and a host of other Division-1 prospects like Kendrick Nunn and Steve Taylor.
The finale includes a host of 2011 top 100 prospects. Findlay has Texas signee and top 15 prospect Myck Kabongo, as well as Arizona commit Nick Johnson. Yates is led by Weber State prospect Shai Fields.
