Kentucky Adds Transfer
The Wildcats added another piece to their puzzle for next season.
After transferring out of Mississippi State in December, Twany Beckham has opted to head back to his home state and play for the University of Kentucky.
"I'm a Wildcat," Beckham said. "This is the happiest day of my life."
A 6-foot-5 guard, Beckham is a unique prospect that can play a handful of positions because of his size, ball handling and ability to pass.
Beckham played high school basketball at Louisville (Ky.) Ballard before transferring to New Hampton Prep. He then spent a couple of years at MSU, where he played sparingly, including starting five games this season.
Beckham will play at Kentucky as an invited walk-on with a chance to earn a scholarship. He's set to enroll this week and will be eligible second semester next year.
